English Breakfast tea is one of the most popular tea blends in the world. Our blend consists of Ceylon, Assam and Yunnan black tea. This Organic English Breakfast tea is the perfect breakfast blend and has a round and aromatic taste. Many tea lovers are convinced that this full-bodied flavor helps wake you up in the morning. Lively, refreshing citrus notes from Ceylon tea combined with the malty, r obusted character from Assam and the sweet caramel note from Yunnan tea make this blend unique. It is an indispensable accompaniment to an original English breakfast. It is traditionally enjoyed with milk, lemon or sugar, but it also tastes unique without milk and sugar.

About English Breakfast

There are two versions of the origin of this tea blend. The first says that "breakfast blend" originated in New York during colonial times. in 1843, an English immigrant and tea merchant named Richard Davies is said to have been the first to mix a Chinese Congou with one part Pekoe and one part Pouchong tea on Chatham Street. Since the blend was well received by customers, other tea merchants are said to have imitated the blend and thus English Breakfast Tea spread. Another source describes the origin of the tea blend in 1892 in Ireland, where it was simply called "Breakfast Tea".

Cultivation

Selected teas from Assam and other countries of origin such as Ceylon and China are the basis for our organic breakfast composition.

Effect

English Breakfast black tea contains a high concentration of theanine. The amino acid supports relaxation and increases well-being. Black tea is even said to have anti-inflammatory effects due to the catechins it contains.
