YOGI TEA After Meal is inspired by the kitchen art of Indian women. They conjure up the best spice blends (massalas) that taste and smell so wonderful. The result is a delicious Ayurvedic herbal and spice tea blend with cardamom, fennel, ginger and coriander, delicately rounded off with licorice, peppermint and a hint of black pepper. The subtle message of this tea is "A man is what he can digest".
Cardamom
Cardamom has been one of the most popular spices throughout Asia and Arabia for thousands of years. Its subtle, sweetly pungent aroma predestines cardamom for use in a wide range of dishes - from spicy curries to spicy Christmas cookies.
Fennel
Fennel belongs to the Familieu of the umbelliferae and has been popular around the Gl obus for thousands of years because of its intense aroma. It originates from the Mediterranean area and reminds by its sweetish-spicy taste and easily of anise.
Ginger
Whether in Christmas cookies, curry mixes or lemonade, bulbous ginger is one of the world's best-known spice plants. It has been cultivated for thousands of years in the tropical heat of eastern Asia and gives many of our YOGI TEAs a fruity, pungent, aromatically spicy flavor.
Coriander
In the Middle East and Asia, the slightly sweet-tasting coriander is used in almost every dish, probably because of its gorgeous aroma, reminiscent of a spicy-hot blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and orange.
Peppermint
Discovered as late as 1696 and presumably created by accident, this cross between brook mint and Wildmint is now one of the best-known plants in the world. Peppermint is extremely popular worldwide due to its refreshing aroma and has a light, pleasant Schärfe.
Barley malt
Barley belongs to the Familieu of sweet grasses and is native to the Near East and the eastern part of the Balkans. For a long time, barley malt was the only known sweetener - it tastes pleasantly malty and slightly like caramel.
Preparation
Pour 250 ml of boiling water over the tea bag and steep for about 5-6 minutes (longer for a stronger taste).
