This incredibly subtle green tea has a velvety texture that brings out all aspects of jasmine without a hint of bitterness. Blending with flowers was first used to enhance lesser teas. Today, jasmine tea is considered a particularly fine blend of tea, but it is offered in numerous grades of quality. Quality factors are, in addition to the selection of blossoms, the number of blends, the so-called "weddings" of fresh blossoms with the green tea in each case. Green tea or semi-fermented tea is used as the basis for production. Depending on the manufacturing process, the aroma of the jasmine flowers is introduced into the green tea by mixing it with the flowers or by steaming it over a flower bath. In the case of high-quality teas, the flowers are then sorted out again by hand.
